Eat the Future is a pop-up café run by Vaults and Garden with a focus on sustainable eating.

Inspired by the Museum's 2021 exhibition Meat the Future, the café's menu focuses on planet-friendly meals. With ecolabels on many of our food and drink items, you can feel empowered to choose an environmentally-friendly meal. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available, and plant-based milks are provided free of charge.

ECOLABELS

Many of the food items and drinks in our café carry ecolabels, which provide information about their environmental impact.

The environmental impact of each portion of food or drink is determined by four different measures – water consumption, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and impact on biodiversity. These different measures are then combined to give an overall grade from A (least environmental impact) to E (most environmental impact).
