Have you or your family visited the Museum before 1990?

To mark 200 years of Megalosaurus, we are are taking a look back at the different ways that the fossils have been displayed in the Museum. If you have access to any photos taken inside the Museum before 1990, we would love you to share them with us. Just scan or snap an image of your photo and email it to library@oum.ox.ac.uk, or drop off the photo at the Front Desk.* We won't ask you to donate your images but may request permission to use and/or store a digital copy, if appropriate.

The closing date for submissions is 14th June 2024. We look forward to hearing from you!

*Hard copies of photos will be available to collect in person from 1st October 2024. Unfortunately, we are unable to post any photos back to you. OUMNH does not assume copyright or permission for use of any images sent to us. If a photograph is of particular interest, the OUMNH will contact you to request permission to use and/or store the image/s. No financial reward is offered. The OUMNH does not assume responsibility for physical photographs left at the front desk, however, you may request that we digitise them for you in your presence by appointment, if booked in advance.
