Summer Discoverer Sessions

Join us for one of a special series of Natural History Discoverer sessions here at the Museum of Natural History this August.

These one hour sessions are designed for young people aged 10–13 and will take place on the following three Thursdays:

  • Thursday, 6 August 2026
  • Thursday, 13 August 2026
  • Thursday, 20 August 2026

About the sessions

In each of these sessions, we will explore a natural history theme through creative, hands-on activities and discussion. These sessions are a great chance for curious young people to explore new ideas, meet others, and enjoy a fun museum-based learning experience. 

How to sign up

Places will be limited and booking is essential, so please sign up for your chosen session as soon as possible.

We will then send you a form to complete, along with key details regarding your relevant session.

  • These sessions are only open to young people aged 10–13
  • Please book a place for one session only
  • Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany children, but they will not be part of the activity group, in line with our safeguarding policy
  • Places are limited, so please only book if you are able to attend
  • Please arrive on time so that everyone can take part from the start
  • If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the place to someone else
