Sessions

Our Museum offers a wide range of hands-on taught sessions for all Key Stages based on the national curriculum.

Each session is accompanied by a downloadable Museum trail and session outline, including learning outcomes and pre- and post-visit activities. Workshops are very popular so must be booked well in advance.

Schools are welcome to visit without participating in our education programme, but must still book their visit in advance.

Many of our sessions have been adapted so that they can be developed as live digital sessions in the classroom. To find out more about our digital sessions, email education@oum.ox.ac.uk.

Exciting developments are happening in the Museum throughout 2020-22 as we begin work installing a series of new display cases. This means that not all of our displays will be in their usual place, and our taught sessions and trails will undergo a period of transition. We will continue to update our website with changes over the coming months.
