HOPE Learning for Teachers
Insect Discovery Days
We will visit you in your school for free, for a whole day and use the amazing British Insect Collection and the Museum of Natural History’s expertise to enrich science learning and enthuse KS2 or KS3 students about Natural History. All these free Insect Discovery Days will:
- Link directly to the National Curriculum
- Provide an opportunity for pupils to work scientifically, developing skills in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum
- Reveal the exciting world of insects, inspiring a lifelong interest in nature
- Include the chance to handle real specimens from our world-class British Insect Collection
Insect Discovery Days are available only to specific schools, for one class per day, Monday – Wednesday during the first half of the autumn term and the summer term.
To find out more, including whether your school is eligible for these free Discovery Days, please email the HOPE Learning Officers (Susie, Kate and Rodger) at hopelearning@oum.ox.ac.uk.
